I like TB's work in the version on the Buckaroo's Instrumental LP.

Once in a while I can even get close to it.

Thanks, Bernie.
It's funny how you can listen to all the great steel players for 45 years (as I have), trying to absorb everything you can, practicing like you're insane, getting it all in your head, and end up after 38 years playing only what you're technically able to play, despite what's rolling around in your mind. But I guess that would be the case with everyone, in any field of endeavor. So... my advice to new players, in case they want it, would be to just see how far you can go.

Db - I had all Lloyd's albums when I first started and learned as much as I could from them. He is a true Monster, despite what Faron had to say about him. Ha. Just an aside - he wasn't a real great player when he was with Faron, but he made some incredible progress later, and evolved into one of the best ever, and if any of his influence shows up in my playing then I'm very grateful that anyone would notice.

This is the sound that knocks me out. Blue Moon w/Lenny Breau. I don't know if this was the Blade, but it sounds like it. Killer. Addictive. Better than coke. Just friggin' insane.
