With a Lollar Supro-style pickup and a Lollar Imperial humbucker - Jason DuMont has done it again! Cool

Just look at that lush ebony headstock overlay - class! Smile (The wood looks so beautiful in person - hard to convey in a photo.)

It arrived yesterday and I have only played it for about two hours so far but I can already say that this is an amazing instrument! It is so cool to have the smooth and full and warm neck humbucker sound in the same guitar that also can go into Supro string-through howl! Smile I will have to play it more before I can offer more detailed impressions but this guitar kicks *ss! The sustain with the Supro pickup is something else with a bit of overdrive! I came up with a little Balkan-esque tune while playing it and with such sustain on the top string I can hear clarinet-like lines coming out of this lap steel.

Will be back after the weekend with more impressions and will make a demo video as soon as possible - just wanted to share these pictures of yet another stunning creation from Lap King! Will gig with it on Saturday. Smile

Cheers,

Fred

Where's the emoticon for <drool>?

Fred - that's stunning -- what a look, and what a great pickup combo. Congrats.

Beautiful guitar Fred. Enjoy!! Having complementary but dissimilar pups is a great advantage in any guitar because it gives you an incredible palette of sounds to get into.
