A client wanted a recording to demonstrate that we can really play country music Exclamation so Hugh Harris and I threw together this little 4-song demo in my home studio last night. It was all all recorded live except for the solo in "Blue Eyes Down In Texas", which I punched because I blew it so bad the first time around.

I'm singing while playing steel on "Crazy Arms". Smile

I'm playing my 8 string Desert Rose through the Line6 Pod XT. The reverb and echo effects are built into the Roland VS-1880 recorder.

That is wonderful b0b. Your voice reminds me of David Bromberg. I love it.

Great work, Bobby. I don't know why I should be surprised.

Hey Bob, I knew you were good on the steel,
but, I sure didn't know you could sing too.
But, I do think your pretty darn good at it. Smile

Other people have told me that, too. I've never heard him. Maybe he heard me years ago and decided to copy my style. Winking

Thanks everyone for your kind words of support. I'm not really a singer, but I can usually do a few songs per set to give the lead singer a break. Classic country, of course!

I hope everyone realizes that it's Hugh singing on the other songs. I'm only singing on "Crazy Arms". Mr. Green

Great Job on the 8 string desert Rose; man. That is definitely classical country. Good job on the singing, too. Enjoyed your version of " Steel Guitar Rag ". Made me think it was me on my 8 string Fender back in the old days..Enjoyed them all, Man..Bernie Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Sounds great b0b... I'm guessing you're still using the D6 tuning on the Desert Rose. Just curious, but what made you decide on D6 instead of C6?

I wanted to get close to the E9th timbre on country songs.
