This thing is about as sweet a guitar as you can get these days. Big props to Mike and crew at Mullen for getting this done so quickly. I was down a guitar after the floods here in Nashville, and they really came through for me. It doesn't get much cooler than black and chrome...

It would have been perfect if the decals were lasercut around the outlines of the logo's, rather than squared off like the ones on the guitar.

It is cheap to do, all you need is the digital artwork from Mullen.

I'd settle for it just as it is. That is one gorgeous -looking Mullen. They are great steel-guitars, play as sweet as syrup and smooth as butter.

I'm pretty excited about it. It's so nice, I don't think I'm gonna take it on the road. Probably just use it in the studio, and on TV dates. Pyro in the Flatts live show absolutely destroys finishes. I don't think I'll be letting this one get messed up.

@ Mike - It's actually 5 pedals and 5 knees. Sent you an email with a pdf of my copedent.

@ Peter - I did think about asking them to etch the logos right into the metal, but I was in a real hurry to get this guitar. I've got so much going on right now with Fan Fair, new tour rehearsals, TV stuff, etc, I needed it super fast. Maybe it's something that I can have done down the road.

For anybody else that's interested, here is the copedent for that guitar...

Yowsa! What a showpiece. If envy is a sin, I guess I need to ask for forgiveness. Smile Travis, is that a Wallace Truetone you got on that?

Very cool ax.Congrats.Very Happy For you guys that have never heard Travis break loose and play. If you're a fan of the Paul Franklin type speed picking? Go to his site and check out the steel solos on Georgia and Freeborn Man. Blinding speed and brilliant execution. And steel is just one of the many instruments he plays well. Rolling Eyes I hate super talented people.Razz I still can't get over how clean he is on Freeborn Man at that tempo. And every note sounds like it was hit with a hammer.

Nice playing for sure!

Are there bushings or bearings of some sort in the nut rollers on this G2?

Travis,

Thats is a very cool guitar. The G2 is the best guitar on the market. Plays very smooth and the sound is amazing. All detail on this guitar is very cunningly built.

Enjoy,
