BRITTNI PAIVA IS COMING TO WAIKIKI -- My sources tell me that Brittni Kahealani Paiva, the 16-year-old `ukulele and slack-key guitar wizard from Hilo, will be back in Honolulu this weekend. She'll do a noon show at Ala Moana Center Stage; then pop in to do a brief 1:00 p.m. ADTSEA convention performance with entertainers Keith & Carmen Haugen at the nearby `Ilikai Hotel; followed by a 1:45 p.m. performance at Ward Warehouse; and then will sit-in with a group at Honey's in the Ko`olau Golf Course Club House, where bandleader Mike Ka`awa said he will call her up to perform with his band (Paul Kim,(steel guitar), Ocean Kaowili, `Analu `Aina) and the great Eddie Kamae, THE `ukulele virtuoso. Bryan Tolentino, another great `ukulele artist, indicated he plans to be at Honey's also. Should be a fun time !
