Jim, I did a quick internet search and found the following:

Friday:
* "Cross Country" playing at Jubitz (super-talented steeler Larry Behm's band).

Saturday:
* "Cross Country" at Jubitz

* "The Buckles" at Duff's Garage (steeler Harley James fronts this old-school honky tonk band. Top notch).

++++
I'm sure there are lots of other steel gigs happenin' too; I'll let the guilty parties chime in.

You don't want to miss either of these groups. Not your average bar bands! These guys all have top notch shows and talent.

I will be playing a couple of early sets with Jon Koonce at the Sweet Oregon Grill in Hillsboro tonight (Thursday 7/2Cool 7pm - 9pm

Lisa Miller and her Kin are playing an opening set at Duff's Friday night. They usually have Doug Jones with them.

Pete Burak is playing Sunday night at McMenamins Edgefield Manor, just east of Portland.

By all means catch the Buckles on Saturday night if you can, Harley is absolutely the tops, hands down - they do classic country oldies and Beatles covers with authority.

Cross COuntry features Larry Behm on steel, he and Harley both sing very well from behind the steel, a feat that continues to confound me.

Give me a shout when you're here, perhaps we can hook up. 503-284-2727 / 503-807-4595

I just couldn't resist. I will be playing at my house this Sat nite in Portland. It will be a solo gig. However, it's not in Oregon it's in a little bitty town in the Mississippi delta, two dirt roads and a VFW, a little post office, a Dew Drop Inn, A Texaco and a cotton gin.

Sorry 'bout tat!!!
