...i'd like to ask for a friend here in germany:
what's the value of a single 8 string fender deluxe lap steel guitar incl. original tweed case??
must be around the fifties or so...
all original, good condition!

Just a couple of weeks ago there was an auction on ebay for a vintage fender in it's case. While not all sellers are honest (or particularly plugged in to the market value of these things) it's a good place to start watching. Don't follow what they ask for them... follow what they SELL for. I have noticed 6 stringers seem to go for around the $500-$700 range. There was an 8 stringer that the seller was asking over $900 for -- but I never followed up to see if it was sold. Hope this helps a bit.

A Fender Deluxe 8 just recently sold on eBay for $455 in "good" condition, for what it's worth.
