SATURDAY MAY 15,2010 I received via USPS an envelope from Bobbe containing his bio, which I had requested.
That night my band played at the Cortland Country Music Park ,home of the" NEW YORK STATE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME".

Before playing that night I turned over that bio to the nomination committee to hopefully induct Bobbe into the "HALL OF HONOR" leading also into hopeful induction into the "NYS HALL OF FAME". Bobbe was born in New York State which was the first of many obvious qualifications he has for this honor.

I am greatly priveledged to be able to sponsor him in this quest .

Besides being inducted into the HOF myself in 2008,fellow forumite member Larry Lorows also is an inductee.

Very Happy Very Happy GOOD LUCK BOBBE !!!! Very Happy Very Happy

****Bob****
The association has a website if you'd care to check it out....thanks

What Bob Vantine said, along with Barry Blackwood's suggestion above.....

From NY to ST. Louis and beyond.........let the ball gather momentum and start rolling!! Very Happy

It's time (not later) for the formal acknowledgement of what we all know about Bobbe Seymour, his lifelong dedication and contributions to the Steelguitar Instrument, and especially it's players..... Cool TX

Rgds,

Ron

THANKS GUYS.....I was starting to wonder & worry that no one else cared . It had been 5 days between initial post and my bump .I'm a newbie here as a member altho I've been reading posts for years , and I figured that was it . Confused

I didn't start this thread for the sake of St.Louis ,and I don't intend on "p-----g anyone off" but if it should help that would be great .

To many greats have passed not only in the "Steel Guitar" world ,but in general that never got their due from their "base",let alone be alive and well to enjoy it. Crying or Very sad

Every organization needs to refocus on the people who truely helped make them what they are today ,and do right by them. Rolling Eyes

I don't care if it's the "CMA" and the "Wilburn Brothers" or whom ever we need to show respect for the ones that brought us to the dance. What's right is right and it should be right now .

It doesn't take helping with flood damage, loss of fingers, illness or anything new to be in the limelight. What counts has been done over and over for years upon years and the powers to be knows this .

Whoa! Confused thanks for putting up with my rants Oh Well Shocked

Bobbe deseveres the accolades but is already in the
Hall of Fame for those who have come in contact with
him. He continues to amaze me. I have allways said that Bobbe can do more with less than anyone I've ever seen refering to him playing without knees and pedals and now with his unfortunate accidents he is
literally doing just that. I need to come see you and bring Tony Austin to visit.
