Just got a new Stage One steel for one of my students.
Doug even gift wrapped it in a homemade tortilla shell. Seriously it arrived well packed and in great shape. My student is picking it up today and I'll have some feedback from her soon. I set it up and started playing it with only minor tuning adjustments. It looks good plays well and sounds better than some of the pro models that I've played. It's been here for three days and didn't need any further tuning after the first day.
I'm considering selling my MSA S12 and getting one of these guitars.
Doug is great to deal with and if he says something you can count on it. |

I've only had my StageOne for about 5 months now, but I see myself playing it for a long time.
I'm still a newbie pedal steeler, but I've yet to see a real reason to "upgrade" from a Stage One. Maybe in a few years?
But if I was to upgrade it wouldn't be to get a better sound or playability. Maybe C6th neck or a different right knee lever setup? who knows..but for now I could see playing this thing for many, many years.
It stays in tune, plays very well and sounds great. IMO.
BTW, I got a Red one...so it looks good to..

Another voice heard from the peanut gallery. I got my Stage One in February and it is simply awesome. Eons ago when I had a Sho-Bud Professional I kept handy an Allen wrench on a radio knob as I was always fiddling with the tuning. The Stage One requires minimal adjustment- amazing! The tone and pedal action are first rate. I'll never sell or trade this guitar. |

Thanks for the kind words!
Although these are simple guitars, they are built so as to encourage the player to enjoy making music. _________________ Doug Earnest

DOUG....
Per our phone conversation the other day ...."the guitar isn't the only thing that matters ".And from what I've seen so far you've figured out the rest of the equation.
Thanks Doug......****Bob V**** _________________ EQUIPMENT:
