I'm goin' to see Vince tomorrow night. Just wondering if Russ will be with him. I thought I heard that.
Also, does anyone know who's playing with James Otto?
Thanks,

Hey T.C.! You mean to say you're not playing tommorrow!! Wish I could answer your question. Give me an e-holler sometime..let me know what's shakin' up yonder. Good thing I left and gave someone else a chance to work up there!(HAHAHA) Regards. RK _________________ "think MORE...play LESS" |

Yup. It was Russ. Man he's one tasty player. Alexander with James Otto was really a cool player as well. Thanks Brett for the ID. I enjoyed his lap steel playing.
The guy who really caught my attention was Vince's guitar player Tom Britt on mostly electric bottleneck slide. He was doing a bunch of playing behind the slide ala Sonny Landreth. Very together and tasteful playing. Of course, Dawn Sears singing harmonies with Vince is beyond greatness. Add in David Hungate (of Toto fame) on bass and John Hobbs on piano and B3. Ridiculous.
I have heard Vince live at least half dozen times on TV shows I've worked on as a sound engineer but I'd never seen his full show. I always knew he was a triple threat. Singer + guitar player + songwriter. He's actually a quadruple threat... add in there entertainer. He is one funny dude.
Great night and not to be missed if you get the chance.

I agree T.C. I've seen Vince several times, in several different kinds of band configurations. His personality, quit wit, and comedic timing are second to no comedian that I know of. And he also plays and sings a little ! |

I'll second the cudos to Tom Britt. A hell of a guitar player, and you know it's not easy playing guitar for Vince.
Tom played slide and standard guitar on my first record. THis is him playing the cool rhythm guitar on this song:
