There is something about this Jackson guitar that sorta bothers me. The tuning,I use will not change
like other guitars I have had.My new Emmons was great fr staying in tune,as the New mullen. But this Jackson is the one I thought I might have a problem with. Why? Because I am always not watching the tuning keys, because they are dancing back and forth.
I use the old Emmons tuning.F lever to -22,D lever to
-10.5. It has always worked on the good guitars, but not this close. But I am waiting for the surprise.
When ordering this guitar,David Jackson asked me how I was going to tune it.When I told him he said, that is the old Emmons tuning!I don't know if it changed
anything,but I am really surprised.

I can't quite understand what you're saying, do you mean that the Jackson steel won't stay in tune at all, or that it will stay in tune, but not as effectively as the Emmons ? |

NOT watching the tuning keys is a problem? Do you mean that you get distracted by watching them dance? _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I think Bill's trying to say that there is little cabinet drop in the Jackson and that he's trying to get used to the idea that he doesn't have to temper tune as much as on the other steels he's owned. I know that my Pro IV is almost straight up on the tuner for all the pulls except for the obvious F lever. _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars

"Problem coming on the Jackson PSG?"
That is definitely a problem I'd keep to myself. |
