Jack, thanks for the nice comment...I'll bet you sounded good on your medley of Hank's tunes. How are you liking your "new" Emmons? I hope you will post a video of your playing soon.
Stephen and Danny, I appreciate your nice comments. I like my Rittenberry. It has a good feel, easy on strings, light weight, and stays in tune as good as any guitar I've ever had.
You might be interested in knowing that all I use is my Vado-HD pocket camera on a tri-pod, PV 1000 with some reverb, Guitar and Hilton volume pedal. I use Windows Movie Maker for any editing needed. About as simple and easy as it gets. |

That is fantastic steel playin Roger. Great tone and a real down to earth Nashville sound on that tune. Keep up the great work. _________________ Marlen SD 10 3 and 5,Fender 5 String Banjo, Flinthill 5 string banjo,Johnson Resonator Guitar, Ibanez AFS75T Country/Jazz Guitar. |

Very nice, I like 0.59secs lick, and the way the fly didn't put you off at 1m 18secs when it landed on your finger. What model of Rittenbury is that?

Bill, thank you very much glad you liked it.
David, my Rittenberry is a SD-10.
As far as what Gary builds I'd say it is mostly D-10 and SD-10 models. As far as I know he doesn't have model names like Legrande, Pro II, BlackJack and so on. He does build a fine guitar!
I thought I had swatted that pesky fly, but you're right..it landed on my finger during the tune .
Another thing happened on a previous take of this video. While playing, a Thunderstorm came over and it started raining very hard along with thunder and lightening. I kept playing until I finished the tune and waited for the storm to pass and then listened to the video. The camera picked up the rain and thunder so well I had to do a retake.
David I'd like you to know that I watch you videos and enjoy them very much and just wish that I could sound and play 1/10th as good as you do.
You are a inspiration to many on this Forum.
Thanks for your comment. |

Roger, good job as always. Love the tone you have and a nice guitar too. Gary does build a good guitar. I like my Nashville LTD too. Hopefully we'll get to jam sometime soon. Keep it up.

Roger, that is beautiful and the way it should sound
on a great steel. That was always my favorite H.W. song.
I love the the sound of your Ritt, and your playing is great.
Your Ritt is almost like mine, but I sure can't play mine as
good as you do your's, but I'm working very hard at it.
Please post some more, you're a great inspiration to me.

Tony, good to hear from you and thanks for your kind words. I hope to get back up your way and pick some with you and Mike and all the guys before too long.
Carl, I've heard you play and you play very good.
If I can inspire anyone to play better or practice more then I feel good about my effort. |

You know, when I first watched that, I thought it was an S-10, I didnt see the pad. Right, I'm off to the opticians.
By the way, you have a great sound on the guitar. You know after the first note is played on a steel when watching a youtube video whether it's gonna be OK, and yours certainly was.
Keep it up.
Regards
David |

David one reason for the pad not being as noticeable, is that it is the same color as the front of the guitar and blends with the carpet below. I can see how one might not notice the Pad on the back neck. Thanks for your nice comments.
D.C. I appreciate your comment. Thanks. |
