Hello,
I tried this post in "Electronics" with no luck... so Im hoping that its ok to post here...
I have a 1953 fender deluxe 6 string lap steel w/ the trapezoidal shaped string through pickup.. Does anyone know what magnet type they used, ie Alnico 4,3,2,5 etc...? My fried has a gaussmeter so Im trying to determine if the magnets need a good zap or not.
Also, The DC resistance measures out at 8.6, wondering if thats in the ballpark range...
Any info on these pickups would be extremely helpful.
