Ok you great steelers! I played (some) in the 80's and now I am fixin to venture out and try it again! Any good instruction out there you would recommend to me? Mike Archer is sending me a dvd and I love watching Mickey Adams (but I do not have internet access at home - live in the country).
Any words of advice would be appreciated!

I live near Jasper, AL. I am purchasing a steel from Bob Simmons and he has been great to work with and give instruction. I should be getting my psg within the next 3 - 4 months.
Yes, if any one is close I would love to meet you.

I live in Birmingham. If I was any good, I would give you advice. My real advice is listen and listen some more to CDs and find and understanding band that doesn't mind you sitting in and listening. Good luck with that though. I tried it several time. Seems they thought I should be Buddy or Jimmy or know songs way older than I was. I met some lead singers with big egos good luck. If I can ever do anything to help rdhharper@gmail.com The others that have replied are fine pickers
