I would like to thank my friend Bobbe Seymour for his hospitality toward the MSA crowd from Dallas. The attendance was great and everyone was positive, friendly and having fun.
The place Bobbe picked had excellent accomodations for this event, including exceptional food and refreshments. Thanks to everyone at Steel Guitar Nashville for making our trip a great experience and success.
Bobbe's playing was exceptional as was that of our friend Randy Beavers. It was an honor for me to share the stage with each of them.
Bobbe pointed out to me, that although we have known each other since the late 50's, this was the very first time we have ever been on the same stage together. It was both fun and a privilege to do so, and I look forward to many more opportunities for us to play together.
We were overwhelmed with the interest in the SuperSlide and very much appreciate the many gracious comments from so many of the attendees at the show.
Those of you who were unable to attend, I hope we can make this a regular event. Those of you who know Bobbe, know of his love for steel guitar and for his many friends. His energy, enthusiasm and great playing made this a most enjoyable experience for all of us at MSA.
Bobbe.....Kyle, Jerry, Dave and I thank you very much. |

Reece-I sure wish that I could have been there to see you and Bobbe up there on the stage. It sounds like a good idea to make it an annual event.....al

In my earlier post I intentionally left off the drummer and bass players names who backed up Bobbe and I as well as all the others at both Bobbe's show and the Nashville steel players show that evening until I confirmed the correct spelling of their names with Bobbe.
I want to thank them both for a job exceptionally well done with a great attitude and total professionalism. They knew every song and played the right changes and rhythm feel at a perfect volume on virtually everything.
One could not meet any two nicer people with a more positive spirit than Rick Vanough the drummer and Dennis Crouch the bass player. I would be honored to have them with me anywhere playing any type of music at anytime. Thanks guys............ |

Kyle, "The Bobbster" sure is looking old!
Could it just be a old lens you used on your camera?
You sure do build a great "Slidester".
Maurice,Dave,Jerry and the great Kyle,
I accept your most gracious thank you's and must say that I was impressed myself at the fact that nothing went wrong at all. As a matter of fact, the show came off about as smooth as one could ever dream.
Wish I could have done more Kyle, Popi, Stephanie and the Italian Grille Club crew thank you also.
I'm now off to the steel show in Campbellsville KY. I hope the "Hurricane Dennis" won't interfere with my rather small aircraft when I fly out on Sunday. Well, all is fun.
Bobbster! [This message was edited by BobbeSeymour on 08 July 2005 at 09:06 PM.] |

So when are you guys going to take the show on the road and give those of us who live on the other side of the country a chance to see you?
