Wish I was in the area. Would drag down my pedals, lead, and bass to an audition. Listened to a bunch of songs at the web page. Hell of a singer and great band! My kind of music even though I is an old dude who started playing the bars in 1957. I is probably way too old for the band, but it never hurts to dream about picking with such a great group.

On a couple of songs I heard a steel picker. Was that a studio dude or a regular with them? If you know.

Meanwhile, there is always picking at the Slabs this winter.

Roger, I don't know anything about the band other than whats on the web-site. I agree the a great sounding band. If I didn't have my store tying me down I'd audtion for it and I'm an old guy too. If you email the band or Al they would probably tell you who is on the pedal steel.

Hey guys don't knock yourself for being mature. Some of the best players in the world are over 50. I don't think I need to name any names just think about your favorite players.

Now that being said there are bunches of young studs&studetts hee hee kicking butt too. But seriously I love to hear the tastiness of the more mature players. Although I don't mind hearing a finger burning solo either......

When I was younger all I wanted to do is play 16th note and fast triplets just s fast and sloppy as I cold but in the last several years I have finally learned the advantage of playing the money licks. I have finally learned that there is life after 16th and 32nd notes.
