1946 Rickenbacher D-16 ( double 8 ) lap steel guitar. Aluminum body, bakelite necks and bridges. 1-1/4 horseshoe pickups. T-badges. Kinda rough condition, but works just great. Top neck sounds like a Ric, and sounds great. Bottom neck is a little quieter with a fantastic twang you will not believe. The pickups have NOT been re-wound. New tuner buttons. Original tuning machines, switch, pots and jack and wire. Plus one wire I added when I re-soldered the connections. One knob broke and I fixed it. No case. I will build a wooden crate or box to ship it in.
*Whoever buys this steel must give me first shot at it if you want to sell it. This is my favorite steel, Old #27. So if you get it, take care of it. It's got more mojo than you can shake a stick at.*
Donation to the forum of course following sale. I will deliver up to 75 miles outside of Long Beach CA, or ship it to the lower 48 for $700. Pick it up for $650.
