We are playing at an event called Taste Addison. It is an outside event in north Dallas with lots of food, drinks and music. It starts around noon on saturday. By late saturday afternoon there should be close to 15,000 folks there desperatley trying to get drunk. Vertical Horizan and Smashmouth are the healdiners for saturday night. Little River Band is playing Sunday afternoon. Should be fun.

I'll be sittin'in my music room in the basement with my little PB SD-10 steel practicin' with my CD background tracks 'cause they ain't no one around here to jam with. Wish we had a VFW or Elk's Lodge around here that had a little country trio that played for two or three hours on Sunday afternoon that would let me sit in to hone up my chops. That would be great. But, alas, it just ain't gonna happen. Oh, well, back to track 4 of my Woodshed CD. Onward and upward.

I'll be playing steel at the 30th Anniversary Concert of the Anna Crusis Womens' Choir on Saturday (1:30pm matinee and 8pm concert, the latter sold out) at the WXPN World Cafe Live, in Philadelphia.

(Jimbeaux you get the weirdest gigs. No I don't; Bob Hoffnar does. )

My band, Classic Country will be playing at the Vienna Moose, Vienna, Virginia Friday night. We are backing Darnell Miller from Bluefield, West Virginia who was booked by the club. I’ll be playing Bass and singing. Why would I play steel when we have one of the best, Buddy Charleton.
We also have Mark Moree on lead, and Cliff Martin on Drums

Saturday night will be my farewell performance with the staff band at the Hollonville Opry House. It's been a great ride, but I have a new challenge coming up with a great group of musicians that will be booked at different venues acros the state. Wish me luck!

Playing the Eagles Club in Chillicothe, Missouri, Saturday night with Steelin' Country which is made up of steel guitarist/bandleader, Bruce Cowan, bassist, Kenny Butterfield, drummer, Ricky Cross, and myself. Four hours of nothing but traditional country music and 90 percent of everything Kenny Butterfield sings is Ray Price material and mixes up the remaining 10 percent of his set list with wild stuff from artists like Gene Watson, George Jones and the likes. It's my kind of music for sure.

I will be playing with our "Country Roads Band" at the Four Oaks, NC Acorn festival this Saturday afternoon from 4-5 p.m...super festival..we are looking forward to it; good weather predicted. Last week we lucked out playing the Nashville, NC Blooming Festival from 12:30-3 on Saturday;(75-80 degrees); the dance Friday night as cold and rainey (40 degrees), and then it rained some on Sat. night and was cool/cold..so we were the lucky ones..
