I'm trying to find the serial # on a Fender Deluxe 8 Stringmaster. Under the tuner pan, written is 11/55, and the potentiometer coincides with that date. But I didn't see a serial number... Can anybody out there tell me where to look? Thanks in advance, sd

It's usually stamped on the plate back by the bridge.

BTW: The serial number on my quad Stringmaster is: #0002. Very Happy

Just behind the blender knob, under the strings where they exit the "keyholes" for the ball ends.

Stephen,
That is applicable to the later model Stringmasters, not the early ones.
