I bought this guitar just a couple of months ago, but I've decided that it's similar enough to my National that I don't need both.
This model shares the same body as the Supro Martinique and Dual Tone models, but the bridge pickup is moved a bit towards the neck. The most interesting feature, though, is the onboard tremolo system. The small red spring-loaded lever activates an optical tremolo system hidden in the body; when moved, it instantly lowers (but doesn't completely cut) the pickups' output. When released, the volume smoothly rises back up to normal. It reminds me of a Framus I used to have with a spring-loaded pot that did the same thing, but this is a much less cumbersome method to use.
This guitar sounds totally unlike the other res-o-glas bodies I've played. The bridge pickup quacks a lot like a Strat in the 4th position; it's sweet and a little hollow-sounding, not unlike a Danelectro. The neck pickup is a little muddier than the one on my National, but it gets a nice clean tone. The neck itself is a little chunkier than my National, and almost 1/8" wider at the 12th fret. The guitar is very clean overall, with little playing wear and no fret wear at all - it looks like it sat under a bed for 45 years. The rosewood fingerboard absolutely glows in the right light.
For a sale, I just want to get back what I paid; $1600 should cover Paypal and shipping in the US, or $1560 if paying by money order. Cash on pickup from Oradell, NJ takes it down to $1530, which is what I originally paid.
I'll also consider partial trades for funky old amps, pedals (no dirt pedals, please) and rack mounted limiters and spring reverbs.

| Forgot to mention that it comes with its original soft chipboard case - nothing to write home about, but a step up from a gig bag. |
