Hello....a two prong post...

I heard this song on radio yesterday and fell in love with it.. by Michael Martin Murphey
looked for music sheet
http://www.sos.state.nm.us/KidsCorner/StateSongs.html

I wonder first of all has anyone played it on steel ?

Next could any one tell me what style of backing it is ??? as in it is not a walz...

I think it is key E if I have been doing my home work right..as it has 3 sharps in it..

it was taken as a state song in New mexico..loads of info on the link
Perhaps if there is anyone from New Mexico on the forum they might chip in..
Thanks for your help Regards Paul (living in the wrong country )
