It sure looks like a Rickenbacker Model NS, post-war, circa 1946-47.

And if not badged as a Rick, does anyone know if they manufactured them for others and it would be badged for that company?

That particular color is a first for me.

Looks like a refinished NS100. Highly doubt it's a knockoff. Never seen a Rick knockoff before...

There is no such thing as a Rickenbacker "NS100".

That is not true. 1937 Rickbacher (Rickenbacker) NS model 100 or the Hawaiian 100 is in fact very real.

I really doubt this pictured instrument was originally chrome and stripped and it's not pre-war.

It does look an awful lot like this one tho... you have to admit... minus the tone knob of course...

Link to auction on eBay.

You should listen to what Mr. Allen is saying. That's a good refinishing job on that NS, but it's not a Silver Hawaiian and never had a chrome finish.

Hey go easy boys. I'm just trying to help. No need to get nasty here. There's room for other opinions here I hope... even if I am wrong!

Sorry if that came across as being nasty. You can certainly have opinions on which guitar model that is, but you should be aware that Mr. Allen has decades of guitar collecting experience and knows what he's talking about.

I can appreciate that. That's why I am here -- to get the good info from the big boys ... still a little more patience with those of us that are still learning would be greatly appreciated. I was, after all, just trying to make a positive contribution to the discussion.
