I wanted to share this idea I use with my POD XT steel mount that Tommy Dodd designed for POD XT users. I always see Steelers using their Peterson Stroboflips in awkward positions for tunning their steels during performances. I had a simple steel bar made with a saddle that tightens to the Strobo flip with a simple butterfly bolt. It attaches to the underside of Tommys Mount. I have found this to work beautifully and I only have to make an easy glance at any time to my right to check any strings tuning while playing. This mount I find is a much better mount than the one Peterson includes with the Strobo Flip Tunner.

OK MARK here is a couple pictures of the bracket SEE BELOW

Thanks for posting that a great idea.

Have you got any pics of how it attaches ? This would save me a lot of hassle and deskspace.

I wanted to share this idea I use with my POD XT steel mount that Tommy Dodd designed for POD XT users. I always see Steelers using their Peterson Stroboflips in awkward positions for tunning their steels during performances. I had a simple steel bar bracket made that attaches to Tommys POD Bracket on one end and the other end with a saddle that tightens to the Strobo flip with a simple butterfly bolt. Notice in picture that saddle clamp is slotted to be adjustable to the tuner width. You could also do a Boss tuner and many other type tuners this way. My bracket attaches to the underside of Tommys Mount. I have found this to work beautifully and I only have to make an easy glance at any time to my right to check any strings tuning while playing. This mount I find is a much better mount than the one Peterson includes with the Strobo Flip Tunner.

OK MARK here is a couple pictures of the bracket I had Made. You can see where all is needed is a tapped hole on the back of tommy's bracket( this way you don't even need a nut-- a wing nut type of bolt is all you need if hole is threaded for the bolt) I never remove the extra bracket. I just leave it all together and then only need to add the tuner during setup!
