Near the finish line, make pedal rods, make armrest, final sand and compound, adjust pulls and etc. Martin.

That's a nice looking job..Everything is nice and straight and neat looking...On some of the older guitars,, the crooked cross-shafts, and brackets were just screwed on any old way,,with pull rods all out of line,,but they still worked,,just didn't look too good...Carson

Looks great but how does the vertical collapse when the guitar goes into the case? |

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Hi Nick, I guess it does look a little different than when you were here. Mike S. the vertical lever is attached with a quick disconnect pin that comes right out. In about 3 seconds its off and the lever can be put in the guitar case by itself. Don wanted the lever to go straight across on a horizontal plane and this was the best way to do it without having to make a lever with 2 or 3 unsightly joints in it. Its rock solid. Guys, this is a top-line steel made by a Master Builder(You are right Pat)
It should come as no surprise to anybody that Martin is able to outdo himself a little each time he builds one.
Great work, Martin.

I am so blessed to have a master craftsman build this guitar for me the way I wanted it to be.
Martin has a lot of patience because some of my request were not easy, but he pulled them all off
and many came out better than I had hoped for with his talent and touch.
It has been a long wait and the weather has not been on our side this past winter here in Florida.
I was over his house today and the legs and strings will be put on it very soon.
I can't wait sit and play my new blue guitar.
I already have a 1st song picked out to play on this blue guitar. I will play the old 50's hit by the Fleetwoods "Mr. Blue".

We should have some new pictures this week showing the body and top.
Mike is modifying my aluminun legs today.
Once that is done he will be able to do the 4 pedal rods.
Then it needs a final polish and strings and it should be done except of the fine tuning.

You betcha.
I am so lucky to have such a craftsman as Martin only 3 miles from my home to build me a custom made steel.
It has everything I wanted on it. (21 changes).
I sat behind it Sunday shortly after he took the last 2 pictures and it fit me like a glove.
I just can't wait to play it.

Absolutely Awesome. If this guitar could ever be in production, I believe it would be one the hottest, most wanted steel guitar on the market.
" Amazing craftmanship "
Don, you are a very, very lucky man.
