First and foremost .let me apologize if this post is a little weird..I am still somewhat shaken and upset..

At 2:43 am this morning we had to leave the single wide for shelter at the inlaws due to SEvere Storms...Upon returnng to survey any damage done..Nothing torn up severely - just usual limbs and small debris strewn around...Inside looked as tho nothing happened .all safe and secure or so I thought - upon inspection found some small electronic items not working - clock, phone etc..no biggie-- Then I was dealt the low blow-- My prized possesion Peavey Renown found DOA......

Unfortunately I have no insurance and current finances say the purchase of a replacement is out of the question..
Looks like the ride of a lifetime is going to be closed and my psg will be finding a home in the closet unless intervention from a HIGHER POWER is given...
Crying or Very sad

I checked everything I can think of to check..The amp will come on with the usual 'thunk' but has nothing after that...It smells like a BBQ..

David, as I remember, you helped out a fellow forumite when the going got tough. Now it's your turn. A small donation for repair/purchase amp is on it's way as soon as I get your address.(check email)

A word of advise ...unplug your equipment do not rely on a surge protector...I have always turned my protector off but never unplugged anything from it.....NEVER AGAIN..

Oh Well Geez Dave that sux bud, but on the bright side Hartley and the Peavey gang are extremely reasonable on repairs or they will provide u all the components and schematics for their price(dirt cheap) if u know a electronics tech or someone to rebuild it for u. I just rebuilt an old Special 150 with a 12" scorpion for about 130$ incl a new speaker basket.Good on ya buddy and god bless Winking

A tip about surge protectors:They will not protect against a lightening strike, their only protection status is for common household electrical surges.Do not rely on a surge protector to do what its not rated to do.Unplug anything you don't want destroyed in case of a storm &/or lightening.

Now back to our regularly schedueled program.

I just wanted to take a moment and Thank Everyone for your support and friendship..The emails of encouragement and the donations in the mailbox have been a great help..A fellow forumite has offered an amp on a buy or send back policy of good will.It should be here in the next few days...I'm not out of the water yet but I least I am treading a little easier..Words CAN NOT express how truly THAKFUL I am to each one..MAY GOD TRULY BLESS YOU ALL.
