Kevin;

You can post it yourself through www.picosong.com.

Go to picosong and upload the song from your hard drive. Picosong will then generate a link, which you can then copy with your mouse and paste into a post. Readers can then poke your link and play the song.

Is this Steel Guitar C Jam Boogie, Steel Guitar G Boogie, or something else?

Thanks Mitch, yes its both of those tunes, what I love about the lap steel journey is that one is constantly discovering new names to enjoy, C jam boogie, got me right in the guts, just where like it, plus I adore those 'ambient' recordings, a technique not practised much these days in the pursuit of digital perfectio. I'll do the picosong thing right now, thanks again

The nicest work by Benny, imho, is the steel he played with Auntie Genoa Keawe. His nephew, Feet, played with the Sons Of Hawaii, and Ron Kanahele, another nephew, is still kicking around Oahu. Benny, I believe, is the father of "The Rogers Sound". They use tunings without 7ths or 6ths in them.

Mitch, my files are wma and not recognised by upload sites, Im working on it. John thats very interesting news re-tunings, IV been trying to unravel some of the licks on C jam Boogie/Steel guitar boogie. Bizzarely straight C 6th works on some licks, then he does a straight string stroke on the turnaround and the 6th has become a 7th !! If this tuning is without 6th or 7th then Im utterly astonished at this mans dexterity, Im not saying your wrong, far from it, this just makes him a very extraordinary player, once I get mp3 files sorted I'll post them up for others to enjoy. Meanwhile its back to the drawing board, if anyone out there has unravelled these tunes/tunings do respond, would be good to know if Im on the right road ( C6th in G at the mo ) His instrument also sounds almost acoustic at some points !
