I just came from Phils house.
His friend Danny, who was with
Phil at the time, explained.
Phil, who is into riding lawn
mower racing, had just picked
it up from the mechanic just
up the street from his house.
Phil was driving it home along
the sidestreet while Danny
followed behind in the car.
The front end began wobbling
then it overturned. Phils head
hit the pavement. Apparently,
the impact took him immediately.
Phil and I have been working
together on the same show -
Phil was a wonderful guy and
a dear friend.
May God keep Phil and comfort
his family and friends.

This is almost beyond belief, what sad news.
I've only known Phil for about five years and always looked forward to the visits we would have.
Great player and just a swell person all the way around.
God rest your soul Phil, and God bless his family as well. _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com

I met Phil 19 years ago when he was with Moe Bandy. He was playing at a place called pzazz after he got
done playing at Moe's. I Had'nt moved to Branson yet but I was making several trips and Phil always invited me to come out and sit in or set my guitar next to his. I used to get a kick out him when he would pull up to pzazz and he would take his guitar out of his vehicle already assembled. He was a great player and a great friend. I love ya buddy and will miss ya dearly. Dean |

Phil was one my best buddies. I'm so stunned to hear of this. Phil, my friend, you are missed dearly. I've never known a nicer human being. Phil never would harm anyone, and give you anything he had. I'm having trouble knowing I won't ever see him again. This is horrible news. Phil, I love 'ya, Buddy. _________________ Bob Hempker |

You are all closer to the situation than me. If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to call. I don't know if there are family needs or not. |

Like all the others I too was shocked and saddened by this untimely death. Phil was going to play the show again this year but had to cancel due to another engagement. I am glad I got to know him, he was a very good guy and player and also very humorous. RIP Phil. |

I first met Phil years ago when I was working at Gabe's. We became good friends and remained so. When I got the news last night, I just couldn't believe it. As so many others have already said, Phil was a great guy. Mike and I send our condolences to his family and pray that they will find comfort in knowing how many lives he touched and how many lasting friendships he made over the years. We'll meet again someday, my friend.
