[EDIT: last updated on 1/8/24. There may be issues viewing on an iPad or iPhone; see related posts from 2014 on page 4.

I attempt to make this, and hope that it is, a one-stop, comprehensive, hyper-linked list of all of Mickey Adams's pedal steel instruction videos available for free on YouTube. I have not included other Mickey Adams videos.

I try regularly to update this original post with all MA vids posted since I first put this up years ago (and delete the ones MA has since removed), but I am very possibly missing some, so I make no promises on completeness anymore. As videos keep getting added, that process will never be totally complete. I do wish to publicly thank Richard Sinkler for his assistance and important role in helping spread Mickey's lessons to all PSG players.

Most of original message below, now with hyperlinks.]

Organized this in Microsoft Word to help my practice routine. Thought I'd post it to help other beginners who are also taking advantage of Mickey Adams's excellent videos on YT:

Mickey, let me know if you want me to take this down and it'll be done.

Nice Work! I've been trying to organize a similar list. I would be interested in the Word document if you wouldn't mind emailing it.

Cheers to Mickey for providing such a great resource online!

BEX25 - CLICK HERE

Just because they show up as a link in Word doesn't mean it will enter the BBcode that is required here to make hyperlinks work. Click on the BBCode link under the emoticons when you are in POST REPLY mode, or NEW TOPIC mode for instructions on how to create the links. It requires code tags around the web address to work.

John, great job!...Im all for it!...
The original videos have all been re-indexed in my computers, but doing this on YouTube would take hours, days maybe..I used BE, for Basic E9, BEC for Cover phrases, and BEX for exercises...FYI
As of today, there are 211 videos, and more coming.
I want to thank you all personally for tuning in, and happy to see that some of you have really made some progress in your playing...Peace...ALL..!..Mick

Whew -- ok, good. Was afraid I would be either stepping on toes, or detracting potential book customers.

Yeah, I included only actual playing lessons on PSG which are still up (you may have removed some earlier ones). I didn't include any vids of six string, theory lessons, [EDIT: song performances,] or newsletters.

Still working my way through your book - finally got the determination to conquer some of the more basic building blocks (as opposed to just barely touching on each lesson). For the last few weeks, I have done almost nothing but your first few exercises and first few licks. I sit down, start a stopwatch at 3 minutes, and then do exercise 1 over and over and over again until the stopwatch beeps. Then I do it with exercise 2, then lick 1, then lick 2, and so on. Also throw your speedpicking lesson in there, plus a few others. Then I repeat that whole thing again several times. That takes 30 mins. to an hour per day and you know what? I'm starting to see definite improvement and over a short period of time. Thanks, Mickey.

John, They are not HTML tags, but codes used by the bulletin board that the forum uses. Yes, It would take hours to go back and put them all in.

I wouldn't mind having a copy of the word file too.

Thanks

Maybe if get time, I'll get them all linked up here.

I'm a subscriber to the Mickey Adams videos but only get about 19 that show up on my "subscription" list, certainly nothing close to the 211 that are out there. How can I be assured of finding all of them?

@Rick, by emailing me so I can send you my hyperlinked index.

Also, don't look just at your subscription page on your YT account -- I believe that only provides the ones which have been uploaded since you subscribed. Anything earlier would not be on there.
You actually have to go to Mickey's YT account page to see them all. On any of his videos, click on his hyperlinked name, "Singlpilot," where it shows him as the author of the vid, and it'll take you there. Once you're on his page (his "channel"), the right-side column will say "uploads," and have a few videos there. Click either on the word "uploads," or just beneath the 2-3 videos there, on the word "see all."

Beneath the uploads column is "Favorites," which you don't have to worry with.

I am in the process of converting John's list to links that will work on the forum. Here is the first batch and I will add more as I finish each section.

John, you might want to edit your original post and change the title to something more descriptive like "Mickey Adams Video Index"

Great work on the hyperlinking

The only problem with that, is many will ignore the post that would otherwise view it. It was there for a while before I read it, and one night I was bored and decided to view it. Had I not been bored that night, I would have never opened it. I assumed by the title, that you had said something bad about Mickey and was apologizing. It is always best to get the point of the post across in the title.

By the way, thanks for doing all the hard work by finding all these links and doing the word doc. What I am doing is squat compared to the work you did ahead of me.

Great work, Richard!

I see only one omission: Cryin My Heart Out, Ricky Skaggs

It should go between:
I Never Go Around Mirrors, Gene
and
Lonesome LA Cowboy Solo, Buddy Cage.

Thanks John. Fixed. If anyone knows of any more videos by Mickey that need to be added (Though I think John pretty much got them all.), just let me know and I'll add them.

Mickey, check your private messages. And, let me know about any new videos you post so I can add them to the list. To remind yourself, I recommend nail polish and paint the note on all your fretboards. Very Happy
