I recently found Buddy Merrill playing 'South' on the Lawrence Welk show on Utube way back, then I found J.D. Sauser's posting dated 22 Dec 2009, which also had this utube rendition. Does anyone have an idea what Buddy's tunings were on that 4 neck Fender? And how does one donwload and archive from Utube? Any help would be appreciated.[/b] |

Can't help you with Buddy's tuning, but a Google or Altavista search for Youtube downloaders will get you several options.
I use "Free Youtube Download" which has a very basic interface but works well. It's also updated very regularly. It's distributed by a company called DVDvideosoft.
try www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm for the latest version. They also provide a few other useful tools for DVD. _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress.
