We enjoyed reading about your great show there in southern Illinois and thoroughly enjoyed the pictures! It's something how our endeavorments here in Branson at the OzSGA enjoys some of the same things you all enjoy! I know St.Louis is a meeting place for a lot of the steel guitar members across the states and around the world. It amazes me that there is such a wide, concentrated interest in this 4 legged monster, called the pedal steel! It's also amazing how the tone is so different when each player plays. Many of the guitars are built....same components...same structure....but they sound so different when another player sits down to play. This is what makes it such a great instrument! It would be pretty dull if all of us sounded the same. It's even something when you hear a relative beginner play, he'll play something that I want to learn.....and I've been trying for 50 years! But it gives us all something to do and we love it and at 75, I need something to do! _________________ Jerry and Venda |
