Her voice is so pitch perfect -- I think because she's a fiddle player.
For me, though, the sound JD gets on his resonator -- and I know this is popular now and what everybody wants, is too shiny and shimmery for my taste. I prefer the more toned-down, woody sound. Can't deny his technique is deservedly labeled one of the best, though. _________________ Al

Never before heard JD singing. Not bad at all. _________________ GFI Ultra SD-10, BearCreek Weissenborn, Herrmann style 4 Weiss, Ã…berg W2 Weiss, Hermann Baritone Weiss, National Polychrome Tricone, Fender Champ Lapsteel, Epiphone Electar Century 8-string, Quiter Micropro Mach 2 HD, Nashville 112, Zirconia bars, Bob Perry picks... |

The Dobro always has that haunting quality. Very cool. _________________ A newbie with lots to learn |

Jerry sings on the Tony Rice Bluegrass album. I expect he's one of those multi-talented musicians that can sing or play anything as required, but has settled on reso as his main gig.
Nice piece there. Thanks for the link. Look for AKUS Ghost in this House and New Favorite, among many others, for more sweet music from these two. |

That was really nice. I've always liked Allison since I saw her on PBS some years ago. The dobro style fits that tune very well. |
