Actually no. What I have been using lately is Automatic Transmission fluid (ATF) Just a little drop not too often. I apply with a syringe..very sparingly.

I have been thinking to experiment with graphite dry lube..the black powder stuff that you lube locks with. It goes on a bit messy but stays for a long time and of course does not attract dirt.Guaranteed slippery Smile

I use the Turbine oil that Carter used to sell. I would think 'Lektric Shave would have alcohol in it which would tend to want to clean out any oil in the changer. I do not know this for a fact though as I don't have any "Lectric Shave handy. But I have cleaned off oily parts with alcohol.

Electric shave has lanolyn in it. I've used it for years on my Tele neck, It makes it slick and your strings sound new. I tried some on the changer of my Ritt the other day and it worked great. But I don't know about it as a long term lube, If it would do any harm.

From the list of ingredients above, the third ingredient by volume is water.

Water may be a good thing with which to hydrate your face, but hydrating your pedal steel would lead to rust rather than a smooth complexion. Smile

Has anyone used Lectric Shave in their airplane? If it is that good for a steel, it must be great for an airplane.
