Hi all,

Here is my very humble attempt at Buddy Emmons' version of "Danny Boy", I do hope that I have tried to do this classic justice & Mr Emmons is not offended by my attempt. I played through my Session 500 (no effects), but one day I would like to re record this tune through my new Webb 614-E that I purchsed from Tom Bradshaw. I do hope that the link works.

Right on pdl20, we just try and keep the brotherhood alive, and to my very good friend Ken Byng, "it is indeed a great honor to be able to rub shoulders with one of our premier steel players". Once again thank you for ALL your kind comments.

Dave. Very Happy

Really excellent Dave, thanks for signing my thread too. Love your guitars too. I tried Kevin's. Nice to catch a glimpse of the late Terry Goodchild there. We supported each other with our problems.

Take care,

Hi Dave, That is masterful playing and what a great sound. I looked forward to meeting you a few weeks ago at my local country club. Ray Kedge and I went to Kenton to hear you and your band but we both turned on our heels and went home again when we heard that you wouldn't be there. I'll be on the lookout for you when next you are in Hertfordshire with your newly acquired Webb. Cheers, James.

Nothing 'humble' about that! You nailed it - super intonation and execution. That's got my day off to a good start...

Thanks for posting it.

Hi all,
Thank you so much for all your very kind comments and words of encouragement. Its different playing this tune in my home to playing on stage (my nerves get the better of me!) Maybe one day I will pluck up enough courage to play this live on stage, maybe?

Dave. Smile

Very nice playing Dave. Quite an achievement considering you designed each part of the guitar, including your own unique changer and built it to a high standard. The guitar has great tone and you can play it. I hold my hat off to you!
