Maybe I'm just getting old, but...

...whenever I'm in public places (i.e. stores, shopping malls, restaurants) with music playing over the PA system these days it's always something with vocals. New music, old music, it doesn't matter. I find it distracting.

I miss the 'good old days' when instrumental music was played over sound systems. It didn't stand out so much as the music that's being played nowadays.

I used to hear crap like "Freight Train," or "Alley Cat," in the elevator. I found it more distracting and annoying than music with vocals.

Leslie, I agree would rather hear instrumental music anyday. At least 90 percent of my music collection is instrumentals. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.
