Selling the Rus-Ler out right, lower price 1300.00 includes shipping. I will trade for an 8-string lap-steel of comparable value and condition.

By the time I saw this guitar last month, you'd beaten me to it. So I bought a different guitar instead. If I could sell mine, I'd scoop this in a minute! Nice guitar. These were well made.

From what I read on the Forum before I bought this steel, It was considered to be a better than average steel guitar.

I bought an S-11 RusLer in 1976 and it still plays and sounds as good as the day I bought it. It has that "ZB" tone to it. I've played it for many years and many hours and never had a problem with it. Norm Hamlet played one for many years and I believe he still has his. It's a great steel, a little heavy, but, very dependable. I won't ever sell mine. There's too much history between us.
Somebody should buy this steel, they won't be disappointed.

James: I wanted this guitar when it was first posted, but you beat me to it. It's worth 1300, but I've got to unload one of my Fessy's. So, I'm gonna e- mail you an offer.
Thanks Dave

Steve
I spoke to James on Wednesday night and made him an offer I thought he agreed to. But I haven't heard from him regarding payment or delivery, so I'm not sure. Since he hasn't been paid by me yet, it's still his to sell to whomever he chooses. No hard feelings here if you e mail him, he can still change his mind if he wants to.

Hi James,
I am interested but need to know the weight of the guitar (preferably in case). I also have a D-8 Magnatone from the 40's if you are interested.

I noticed on the close up of the tuning head that there are 12 tuning gears but I only see ten shafts that the strings hook up to and the guitar is strung with only ten strings.Has there been some type of modification to limit it to ten strings? Also it appears to be a double raise, double lower changer rather than a triple. Correct? I would want to expand the pedal and knee lever compliment to accomodate a universal set-up.

After I received the guitar from it's previous owner(and UPS had had their way with it). I removed the 12 strings that came on it, cleaned it up(polished all the aluminium,I'm a Harley man. I know how to polish stuff), and cleaned the arm-rest. I replaced the 2 tuning keys that were busted off. And slapped a 10-string set on it(cause that's all I could find at my local music store),so I could play it and hear it. It is a 12 string. It is just missing 2 strings.
