Hey Jon,
Have a great tour. You should set up a weblog (Blog) someplace and keep us all apprised of your life on the road. Are you traveling by bus? I was just reading on another thread about what "fun" that can be...
Take care,
JC

Jim, I may add a journal page to my web site but right now I've got my hands full trying to learn 50-60 songs and get my gear together for what amounts to a year long haul.
Ryan is releasing 3 records this year (I played on #2), so we have a lot of "product" to support! The first cd to come out (next week I believe) is called "Cold Roses" and features some great non pedal playing by Cindy Cashdollar.
We will be traveling by bus. Two of them. One for the crew and one for the band. Very luxurious! There will be the 5 band members and the tour manager on board so the bean burrito factor mentioned in another thread may be minimized, I hope! Anyway, I'll try to keep anyone interested up on the latest news from the road. Jon

'bout time you came out. I was getting near to posting one of those gossip column 'blind items'----a certain steel guitarist and multi-instrumentalist has been seen coming out of rehearsal studios booked by a certain star with the inits. R.A. Could there be big news in the works?
Fortunately I don't have to make up anything so dumb now.
So cool!

Jon, I told you a while back that I wasn't going to say anything until I was sitting on the bus. 'Cause some mighty funny thngs have happened in the past as far as countin' chickens, etc. But the bus pulls out the day after tomorrow to do some press and radio stuff, so I figured it was close enough to be safe. Thanks for keeping the lip zipped. You're a pal. Jon

hmmm.... actually more like 9:30. This timeline is a bit off -- it says you responded at 6:37. I know we like to get up early to practice, but this is ridiculous...

Jon,
Congrats, My Friend. I just wanted to say that on May, 11, I see you will be at the "BROWN" in Louisville, KY. (My 'Ol Stompin' Grounds as well as one of our formite Pickers here on this forum, "Sir" ROY ARIES, who, BTW, I'm SURE at ONE time or ANOTHER, Played for "Pee-Wee" King there back when Louisville ROCKED around the Broadway area.)
Dude, now THAT is ONE "RITZY" Place. Absolutly "FIRST CLASS". It has been quite some time since I have been in there, But, talk about a "POWER,PRIVILEGE,& PRESTIGE" kinda place.... You will LOVE IT! Don't be suprised ifin ya "Rub Shoulders" with the likes of the Ex-Govenor of the "BlueGrass" State....Mr.John Y. Brown, or Sherman Henderson III. POWERFUL "Enron" types that "Hang" at the "Brown Theater" which is located at the corner of "Broadway & Mohammad Ali" in the Downtown "Galleriea" area. Blow 'em away, Jon, and, Be SAFE out "On the Road," and God Bless.

Tony, I can definitely tighten you you for tix when we get over there. Right now I don't have exact dates, venues or locations. Keep an eye on Ryans' or my web site for gig info and when the dates come up, shoot me an email to tell me which show, or shows you want to attend and I'll see to it. Take care, Jon

For someone like me who has quit his weekly gig in order to sit at his terminal and check in on the forum so that I might vicariously live large, following your exploits and hijinx in the world of sex drugs and rock and roll, that's a sorry road journal. "bump". That's all ya got?

You made that JCH sound real good last night in Cleveland Jon. Tasty playing. I also dug it when you broke out the Rickenbacker.

Great show.

Hey P, thanks for the thumbs up on last nights show. Ryan often starts songs you've never heard before or never learned, and that was the case last night. He started an old Whiskeytown song "Jacksonville Skyline" during his solo portion of the show and motioned to me to join him. Well, I was given a list of 50-60 songs to learn before the tour and that wan NOT one of them. Talk about flying by the seat of your pants! Don't know the song and it's just an acoustic guitar and YOU. No egg on the face (this time).
I've added some new dates to the original post. More to come... UK, Europe, Japan and Australia and West coast, stuff followed by more Europe in the fall. Having a blast! I've got Jimmie Crawford sitting on my shoulder (ouch) every night when I sit down behind the trusty ole JCH! Jon G.
