Tonight while playing I had a misquito bite me on the ear . Sounds funny well it was not. I put a nice bar ding in my teal super pro and im ready to Puke! Ive decided if possible to over restore it. Im going to Chrome the rods legs, Etc. Ive restored many high dollar muscle cars in my time ,and now i'm going to give this steel some high detailed attention. I love this guitar it will be with me untill i'm not around so I don't care if its not completely original. It will be better than new. If any knows who to contact please let me know. I learned somthing tonight . I Will never ever play without a cloth down between the necks of steel ever again. During all the years I had my cars never once a scratch, wish I could say the same about my steel. Sorry its just the way I feel. Sad Andy

Check out Leon Roberts in Tallahassee Florida. Do a search on the forum and check out some of his prior posts. There should be lots of good photos of his sho-bud restorations - he knows his stuff. he did a beautiful job on a sho-bud for Doug Jernigan.

Check out James Morehead who has the currently active thread about the Sho-Bud Parts he is now making. He's done some nice ones that would fit your standards.

Andy, I can also highly recommend Lynn Stafford's work. I own an immaculate P/P that he totally rebuilt/refurbished. Great attention to detail and it won't leave Lynn's shop unless it's perfect.

while you're at it, have inlay installed in the necks to match the body. super pros should have neck inlay. why didn't sho bud inlay the necks, too? that always bothered me. inlays is what woodneck steel guitars is all about!

I want to thank you Guys for all the help. I've had a rough couple of months do to illness in family . The Forum seems to cheer me up and forget things for a little while. Pedal steel players seem to have a bond and respect toward one another not found in to many things these days. Im proud to be a member. Thanks, I hope to get a chance to meet some of you in person. Thanks Andy
