If I asked this before, I don't remember, but I heard it again today on the radio and thought the playing was very nice and the tone was like syrup.

i've always described that tone as 'gooey' so the syrup name fits well. from the beginning that tone is what snagged my ear and the only person who gets it regularly is buddy on any brand of instrument he plays.
