This was not fragile but still...
I see why they wanted to get out of the selling insurance thing.

That looks like a conveyor belt rub. Jammed in the line for a bit. I got one once with a tire print on it. It was like a golf cart wheel sized tire print, Im guessing from those little carts they use to get the packages from the lines onto the trucks. Laughing

still beats fedex. fedex wont so much damage your package, as loose it , deliver it to the wrong address ten times, and give you the total run around while your trying to resolve the situation.

Oddly, the packages with the least damage seem to be arriving USPS.

Ben's right,Fedex will just drop your package off on someones porch, and maybe they will finish the delevery for them, at least thats what they did to me the one time I used them. Never again!!!

Eddie , in the end I had to go get my own fedex package too. Apparently ANY Ben Jones in Seattle was good enough for them to deliver my package to. They went and picked it up from this other Ben Jones and thn delivered it right back to him the next day..and then did the same thing again a day later. Laughing

so i finally just did their job for them and got to meet one of the other many Ben Jones's in seattle.

Both Fedex and UPS are stinkers. I'm sure we could fill up the pages with our stories. The ones that get me are when the driver is running behind on his shift and marks your package as delivered on the tracking info. Meanwhile you're going crazy cuz you figure it got delivered to the wrong address. Then it just appears out of nowhere the next day. Or when they lie and say it wasn't delivered because nobody was home but you've been waiting at home all day fo r the package! I can handle the truth no matter how brutal, just don't LIE to me!!!

yup, we had a fedex driver here forging our signatures for deliveries. I dont know how he thought he'd get away with that, and eventually he got busted.

Well, I'm the only guy in the world that never had a problem with either one of them. And I don't even work for them. I currently use FedEx mostly because they lie less about the shipping price.

I bought a $3000 Ham Radio from a guy in Jersey about 10 years ago. It took one of those falls off the loading dock would be my guess. The main tuning know had poked through the factory styro packaging and dented the front of the factory box.

I took it down to UPS and the inspector came out to my truck to take a look, said; "Whoa, took quite a hit" and filled out the check for the insured value $3k, which covered my shipping. And a little extra for the trouble.

So, live right, brush your teeth each night, and pay the tooth fairy and good luck will come your way too.

Ive had positive experiences with them both in the past too Danny. It seems like its been over the past year or two that things have gotten really bad with them. Im guessing like so many other businesses thev'ye had to lay off some of their best people.

I have recently shipped a bunch of stuff from California to NY state via USPS, including my steel, a bass, a Roland keyboard and a dozen boxes of stuff. Nary a problem and far less money than the others. Gives me confidence to ship my acoustic/electric and my jazz guitar as well.

Best part is I'll have that stuff, all in one piece when I get there.

I had USPS send me a Mullen steel, arrived here thirteen days later, and even the packing box looked brand new.....not a ding or a scratch. And that's to South Africa!
Oh, and by far the cheapest of the lot!
