Hi Chet,
That's a great looking color combination. On the clear part..is it darkened a wee bit or is it the photo?
Your choice of wood grain is a beautiful match for the clear and blue. Likewise the rope inlay. I say you have a special eye for cabinet building and finishing.

Bent, there is no stain at all on the clear, that is the color of the mapel, Mike Spelta bought that wood a year ago. and it has been setting here in my shop.i am building this guitar for him, He already has one of my formica guitars, but wanted a laquer Body, that is called Quilted Mapel, expensive wood.i used a blue stain from Sherwin Williams, and just mimwax Laquer.Chet

Chet, that blue looks really amazing! It has real depth to it and a nice touch with the matching pad. Make sure you post pics of the finished guitar before you send it off to it's new home. Also, it looks like you're using a new design of fretboard?

Still lovin' #122...

Adam

Chet, that is a beautiful Blue Guitar. Are you going to the Mt. Vernon, Ill. Steel show Next Week?
It is a really good show. You should bring that Guitar and show it off. Don't know what part of Ill. you are in. It would sure look good on my wall of steels. Larry Baker
