Hello All,
I just purchased a Rickenbacker Post-War B6 on eBay. It hasn't arrived yet, but I have two questions for the group. First, the knobs on the Rick do not match, does anyone know if I can swap them out with these (from an eBay auction) without an issue?
Second, any recommendations on a stand? Thanks and take care!

Those are not post-war Rick knobs. Just another joker on Ebait trying to con a buck. Have patience, and some will turn up later.
A lap steel stand has been discussed here. try a search. Many ideas for stands have been posted here. The originals are hard to find and too expensive it seems.
If you have it on a stand, don't walk away and leave it with the cord plugged in. Someone trips on the cord, and bakelite hits the floor. Bakelites are brittle. The neck CAN break off! |

The old National and Ohau stands or whomever it was that made them......have gone for as little as $50.00 and as much as $350.00+ during the past year or so. One has to wait and then boom..........three or four will appear on eBay at the same time.
Someone was offering Bakelite knobs (2) with arrows on top......for $69.00 on eBay for the past couple of months. A bit steep, I'd venture to say.
A keyboard scissors stand offers quite a bit of stability and you should be able to customize it a tad to be exactly the non-slide stand one would desire and they're cheap. |

I'm not even sure it would fit a B6 as I don't have the Rick yet to measure, just figured I'd share what I found and see if I'm off base on this one. Thanks again!
