Any pickers out there that can pass on ideas, licks, patterns, etc. that will accompany 12-bar blues progressions on a standard E9 3X4 shobud? Long time tele picker here, but 3 month LDG picker, so the learning curve is pretty steep.

In key of C, at 3rd frt, with only B pedal pressed, on string #5, slide bar from 3rd frt to 4th frt (which is Eb "flatted 3rd") then 5th string at 3rd frt, then 6th string at 3rd frt (C or "root"), then string #7 at 3rd frt (Bb or "flatted 7th), then 6th string at 3rd frt again to end on root note. Be sure to SLIDE the two notes on the 5th string at frt 3 & 4 ! Just a little ol blues lick. Have fun. |

Now from the 3rd frt keeping B pedal pressed only, move back to 1st frt & play strings 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10. All these strings/notes are part of C blues with the lowest root note C on the 10th string. Tinker with those & enjoy! |
