I was watching Tony on youtube and i just wish i could play that smooth, and pretty. That single neck marlen guitar is a breath of fresh air as far as tone goes, and that's hard to say for some things recorded on youtube wish I had that guitar.I don't know if he's a forum member ,but man what a guitar, tone, and a player.

I believe I recall Tony telling me he plays through an older Peavey bass guitar amp.

I played guitar with Tony in church back in the 70's. About 15 years ago I decided I would like to learn the steel so I called him. He said him and his Dad had pieced together an old Marlen single neck he would sell me. Went to see it and it was in their wood shop. Tony got it down and set it up, pulled up an old chair and told his Dad to hand him something. He handed him a piece of gavanized pipe. No picks and a piece of pipe and he ate that thing up! After learning more about the steel makes me appreciate even more how he can play. And he just keeps getting better!

As far as I know he's lived in Kannapolis, NC all his life. He will probably be playing at the Kannapolis Jam on April 3rd.

Here you can listen to Tony's whole youtube collection. Well worth the time it takes. He makes that old Marlen sing.

Can someone tell me what the wrist lever does? At first I thought it was lower 6th G# to F# but it looks like LKL does that
