I posted this in the Steel Guitar Players thread by accident. Anyway, just thought I'd mention that I'll be doing the TV Opry this weekend (May 7th) with my old boss, Patty Loveless. Alison is hosting, so I think we're gonna be doing all Bluegrass stuff. I'll actually get to play my Dobro on a mic again...yeehaw!!! |

Travis, I'll be watching you on the re-run Sunday because I'm playong Saturday. Patty is my all time favorite besides Tammy Wynette. I try to see her show when it comes up to the western N.Y. area. Incredible country/bluegrass singer.

Patty Loveless. One of the true country singers left. I hope she doesn't go pop and forsake her country roots like so many have. I'll be watching. Play a hot lick for me. Michael in the Ozarks. |

Hey, Trav, Caught you on the Op'ry Saturday night. Great dobro playing. You've been woodshedding again haven't you? Really nice licks. I wish they would have turned you up a little louder, but the Op'ry TV sound crew sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Loved Patty's songs. The one about Grandpa Cochran really got to me. I had a grandpa like that. Keep pickin'. You've got the "jazz". Michael |
