I know that nobody who reads this will be able to attend but I just wanted to let you know that I am doing an all Steel show tomorrow night at the Austro-American Society - two sets of steel music (with some vocals from my band members, mostly classic country and swing material - usually this is an event where you can introduce a lot of folks to the steel guitar who have never heard it before or never paid much attention to it.

For those interested, here is my set list:

Buckaroo
Half A Mind
Tracy's Waltz
Bye Bye Blues
Steelin' The Blues
Making Believe
Sweet Dreams

Cold Cold Heart
Cherokee Boogie

Remington Ride
Blue Jade
Midnight In Amarillo
My Elusive Dreams
Blues Stay Away From Me
Have I Told You Lately That I Love You
Crazy Arms
It's Now Or Never
Cotton Jenny
Soft Rain
I Love You Because

Wish Me Luck!

Kind Regards, Walter

Hey Walter, I remember what a great time Herb and I had in Austria with you all. The band was spectacular. The response of that rainy night crowd even standing outside the building was awesome. Remember, the echo back from the crowd on Bob Will's "Four-Five Time?
Best wishes to you and your family.
Sincerely, Bob Strum

Hey Bob,

I will never forget that night! Not only the band was great, also your and Herb's playing was fantastic!

For all you fellows who read this: We had the pleasure to host Herb and Bob for a few days in Austria in 1998, the biggest show was in a place for about 450 people - inside were about 600! What a night!

By the way, Mike Gross is playing some of the track sfrom the live album from that night - if you check his playlist, look for for the band "Route 66 and Herb Remington" at www.swinginwest.com

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter: I wish Roy and I could be there. Wow, would we love to see you and the show! Roy has had pneumonia and is has come back on him. I have also been sick. Sorry about answering your post so late. Please let us all know how it went! We can't wait to see you in St. Louis! Your old friends, Roy and Laurie
