To use anyone's name on posts that you have posted on my behalf over the past years. Most
of you on the thread I have running agree to having their posts mentioned. But there are some who do not want to particpate.
I have learned from bOb that anything written
on this Forum must have a "copywrite" attached to the post entered in order for the subject in question so it can be used and there is no clause for protection if a "copyright" is not in fact posted.
However be it as it may,I dont want to ignore
the possiblity that my using anyone of your'e posts and name's without your consent make me uncomfortable, and although there are no legal
issue's invloving those who did not copyright
attached to their post, I just wanted to be fair and respect your privacy and have those of you who have posted on my threads to know that whatever you choose is fine with me.
I have received 2 e mail asking me not to post their exchanges regarding my threads.
This is your decison and I respect whatever
you feel is fair. see the Rules of this Forum
regarding this issue.
http://steelguitarforum.com/agree.html
That is the policy of bOb Lee's Forum and I want to make those of you aware of this.
Thanks
Jody edited for spelling sorry.

As others have stated, I cannot imagine anything I have written either here or in email correspondence that will have any interest or importance but I most certainly grant full and total permission to you Jody, to use my name and my words as you see fit. |

I'm sure I didn't write anything particularly memorable, mostly just wisecracks, but knowing how partial you are to wisecracks, sure you can steal my material, why not? |

Jody, I can't wait to read the book. I have a love for Fender Guitars and amps that go back to the mid-60's. My first Fender guitar I ever owned was a red '66 Musicmaster II that I got from my cousin. I traded him my acoustic guitar for it. I was only 10 years old. Then in 1971 I worked at my Dad's gas station long enough to buy my own new Tele. I bought it at a place called Arnold & Morgan Music in Garland Texas. Then the next year I bought a new Fender Super Reverb amp at McCord Music in Dallas. I have played Fender guitars and amps ever since.

Yeah, Mark. My '71 Fender Tele Custom is still my favorite guitar, through my '68 Bandmaster Reverb. My first pedal steel was a Fender 1000. I just wish I'd been able to hang onto any of the pre-CBS Fenders I had.
I will definitely buy Jody's book, can't wait! [This message was edited by Jim Phelps on 02 May 2005 at 10:37 PM.] |

Jody,
I only wish you would.
So far the only person to quote me is me . .
You're also welcome to use any of my pics of guitars, or pick any of my guitars! |

Jody, I would be honored to be quoted by you anytime but I doubt if I ever said anything worthy of mention. Nevertheless, you have my expressed permission to use my name and quote me anytime if I slipped up and said something intelligent. Well, I went back and reread your post and since you are asking about quotes on your behalf, perhaps you will find some nice things I have said about you because I recall on several occasions having said some heartfelt things to and about you.

Like so many others. I can't imagine anything I said that would be worth of inclusion in the book, unless it's my belief that the Music Man guitars with the active electronics that Leo Fender made are great guitars, and possibly the best he ever made. At any rate, you certainly have my permission to quote me if you feel inclined to do so.

Permission Granted "I Rest My Tweed Case"
Fender Paralegals have let me have the OK.
Red Tape? not really, just have to have the contents of the book reviewed by the Attorneys. Thanks for all your help. It is the sole decision of the publisher when we find one to allow photos in the book..end of story
Keep em coming.
