Has anyone ever come up with a decent fiddle simulator - in a stomp box, or processor that can be used with steel? Not strings, but fiddle sounds.

I've been using a Sonuus G2M (Guitar to Midi) converter into a Boss DS-330 sound module. It does a fair job, at least gets the idea across. Not ideal for fast runs, as the tracking will not keep up. But for slow fiddle, it gets the job done.

Checkout the Sonuus on Youtube and get an idea of the possibilities.
