Can anyone see anything wrong with this 1964 tuning chart I received from David Jackson in 1964? I think
he must have been playing with my mind. |

I'm not used to seeing the 3rd and 6th strings as A flat, that's fur shure! I've heard some say that D# is more correct for the 2nd string. But,,,, I ain't no theory guy! |

Looks like his E9 pedals name the strings in a pre-"chromatic" tuning:
1-G#
2-E
3-B
4-G#
Pedal 1 doesn't pull the low B string. |

He was thinking of an 8 string when he wrote what the E9th pedals do.
We are so used to the flexibility of text today. It's hard to remember when typing something actually committed it to paper. Seems so long ago! _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

How about the b pedal raises the 1 and 4.. instead of 3 and 6.. And C is 2 and 3 not 3 and 4 |

I'm inclined to agree with b0b. Seems to be a mix of 8 string and 10 string info. From Madison. 1958/9? |

Dean Parks has the answer.Just think how confusing this was to a newbie ten string learner who was trying to find what the Nashville players were doing
back in 1964. Bob probably has part of the answer also. I thought perhaps David Jackson would chime in
with his two cents. D. Watson |
