The photo is of Ricky Hagan's rebuilt Emmons. Ricky picked it up today. Naturally we think it turned out really nice.

Another job masterfully created by Billy, I would
have loved to have seen what he could have done to
the old ZB D-10 I used to have !
All the best Billy

Billy Knowles, who is a brother of mine and a true and trusted friend, comes off the Top Shelf of human beings. So I'm not the least bit surprised that he did that quality job on Ricky's guitar.

Billy,
Did you re-mica it, or was that the original.

Ricky,
You've got yourself a brand-new guitar there my friend. Personally, I'd rather have a newly rebuilt & polished up Emmons P/P like yours, than any new steel guitar being made today. These guys that haven't experienced what its like to play a good Emmons P/P like yours just don't know what they've missed.

I agree totally with you Nick.I played it out last night for the first time.It sounded like a true P/P and played like a dream. There's nothing like the old P/P.Yes it has the original formica on it.I would never even think about selling it.My children would have to be hungry.I pesonally can't get that hungry. Thanks for all the great comments.

Ricky, I got to see your guitar a couple of times when it was gutted. Two things you don't want to see is sausage being made and your guitar being worked on! With Billy, the outcome was never in doubt!

Clyde,
I never thought about it that way.But I think you right on both things.I hope to see you soon and show it to you.I never thought it would play like it does. It's every bit as smooth as my Legrande.I guess I had never had one set up by Billy before.I think I'm going to get Billy to do my S10 P/P next.Take care my friend.

Hey Ricky. I had Billy set up my Emmons S10 and it made a BIG difference. I'm so happy he is in our area.

Hi Billy,

Looks like another fine job! My congratulations to Ricky.

I used to own Billy's first Emmons that he bought new and then later rebuilt, so I've seen his fine work first hand.

It was great seeing you in Dallas and thanks so much for the personalized, hand-tooled leather bar holder you made for me. Gosh, that was such a nice thing to do for me.

Nice post and pictures, but isn't it more about the guitar than the player? Shouldn't this be moved to the Pedal Steel section? Confused

Douglas,
I have never heard many good comments on a push pull that has been converted to an all pull.
Sorry.
