Was hoping to meet some local Okies in Dallas, and I certainly spotted more than a handful, but my shyness got the best of me (...not that it stopped me from having a blast this weekend).

I am a current OKC resident looking to take a few lessons from an experienced teacher to get me started properly on E9th, and/or just to meet some local steelers in general to help me learn what I'm doing with the thing.

Feel free to post leads here, or to PM / email me. Thanks!

Hey RD, check out the okc jam in the events section of the forum. They meet the 3rd Sat of each month. Someone there should be able to help you out some.

Hi Wayne, and thanks. I've been to the monthly jam a couple times as a bystander in the last year (including one where you turned up, I think, if I'm seeing your face clearly enough from your forum avatar). I'll probably do the same for this weekend's jam, maybe even introduce myself this time...!

Thanks also to the gent from McAlester who introduced himself via email, it's been a busy couple of days and I hadn't had a chance to say thanks.

Anybody else from this neck of the woods hiding on the forums?
